check ur TM bill !!

last year, around Oct, we received a letter of notice, telling us that we didn't pay 1 month usage for and they will include the unpaid amount into our next bill.

thus, i decide to split this extra amount and pay throughout 2 months. Nov & Dec i pay slightly more then the current month usage, e.g. cur RM150, pay RM180.

but by Dec, we still have outstanding amout unpaid. and TM (being so efficient) called our house phone, saying we have $200+- outstanding, if not paid will cut line.

2 days later, they cut the line, then we call them. and they explain to us why. we dig our bills out (Oct 08 - Jan 09, lucky i kept them for a year then throw) and double check with what they said.

and horribly, they change their charging system, and double charge us for THE SAME month.

this meant, last time, we always pay back-date month, July we pay for June usage. but when they merge the bills, they decide to charge the next month usage, i.e. July will charge for Aug. then they say we didn't pay for July lah (for example) but in actual fact, we never miss any bill - we paid July bill in Aug!!

so gents & ladies who uses Streamyx, cause now they merge the bill, try to check if you are been double charge like us.

after we make noise, they update their system and found out we only owe them $70, not the $200 as said above.

bad news

this morning, both boys wake up and start playing noisily. but 2 of their uncles are still sleeping. so i use hub's handphone to call back home, so they can be constrain in our bedroom chatting with wai gong, instead of running in out of the bedroom.

i had tummyache thus went into the toilet. then i heard hub chatting on the phone. i was wondering is the voice his or the neighbour.

when i came out, he call me over and told me a bad news: my dad was hospitalized!

this morning around 6am, he woke up covered in pesperiation, and he said he can't feel his pulse and his heart was pumping weak. he also has difficulty in breathing. immediately, my mom woke my brother up and rush my dad to Mt Alvernia.

the doctors did a check up and came out to tell my mom that my dad was OK, nothing is wrong; his cholestrol, blood pressure, etc. all in normal range. so my mom ask the doc, is this due to the late night soccer watching, the doc just smiled back.

so just for safety precaution, they admited my dad into ICU for observation. my mom and brother will be going back at night to see if my dad can be discharged. the doctor say he can be discharged, so hopefully nothing will pop up!

we are going singapore at 2pm, 24 may 2008!

but first, morning had a parent-teacher meeting. his chinese teacher this morning pass me some chinese books and flash cards. she say its for revision. and she also commented that he not really paying attention in class. she always has to call his name, "yue heng, look at me!!"

so, tomorrow must ask his form teacher how's his attitude in class. but since young, he is always like that, he learnt things not by paying attention! don't know how he did it...

i am thinking of making a THANK YOU PHOTO FRAME CARD for hengheng's birthday party. so looking for samples on the net.

electric bill drop like a bomb!

WOO HOOO!!!

for the past few months, since we start paying the household utilities, the electricity bill was around RM200. so last month, i started a trial and error way to see how much money we can save. that is : switching off all the power plugs when we sleep.

so first item will be the television and it's connected parts (cable and hi-fi). have told hub to switch off the power supply instead of just pressing the "off" button on the remote control for the 3.

and the computer and modem will be switched off constantly, at least 2 hours per day. and our lightings at night are lighted at certain areas.

and today, the latest bill comes into the mailbox. and since i can't understand malay, i took the bigger figure as the current month's bill : RM145. and we had a brought-over figure of RM85. so our total bill this month was not a big killer = RM230.

when hub was back for lunch, i showed him the bill proudly! then he read and say, NO LAH! LAST MONTH'S USAGE WAS ONLY RM85, the brought-over figure was RM145.

wahhhh, i drop my jaw...

Avoid this chalet - Island Resort, Singapore

received this email from a gf, & she said this 2 incidents are actually her pals.

1)
The name of the resort is Island Resort... I very very irritate by Island resort too... First thing is their booking system... I did not book at the resort... I booked via bank transfer... However, they didn't give me a letter of confirmation for my bank transfer... So after 1 week, I called them... They told me it is confirm and they DO NOT have the service to email people for confirmation.... Then 2 weeks ago, I went there personally to ask for my room no. and the receptionist said my reservation no is invalid... So she rebooked for me... And request me to send the receipt of the bank transfer... Then the next day, I forgot about the reservation no. So I called up then another person told me I haven't email the receipt... I asked for the no. and complaint to the person of this error... Then this person checked for me, and discovered that my booking is still there... And also told me my room no.

Then on the actual day which is the 10/11/2007, I went to check in and the receptionist told me I nv booked AGAIN!!! I directly told her my room no. and she managed to found my name... I feel like scolding her... Then the chalet is really very bad... I seriously feel I am being over-charged since the facilities is very very old... I paid $283 upon checking in...

Break down of the charges as shown in the receipt
one day charges -$194.39
GST - $13.61
Cash Deposit - $50
Party Surcharge - $25
Not in receipt - $25 (BBQ surcharge)

Seriously I was in a hurry while checking in and out... So I never checked... Now went though my receipt and discovered the GST... But in the website http://www.islandresort.com.sg/rates.html"All villa Rates are NETT Price in S$/Per NIGHT/Villa (INCLUSIVE of GST)" Does this means, I should not be charged the GST??? Also in their website: the party surcharged is $20 only... In my receipt is $25... They overcharged me...

Enough of the money complaint... Now the facilities, This is the worst chalet I ever done/went... There is no mop, broom, cloths... Only 3 towel which is seriously not enough to use... My tap is on the verged to spoil... The layout is creepy... The fridge is not cold... The toliet is very unsafe... because from the toliet can peep and see the bathroom... Everything is so so so... Cannot make it...

If u ask me to go there again... I will never booked my chalet there... Because it is expensive and lousy...

Hi ladies,

I would like to highlight to you my experience over at the ECP chalet which has change management to an indian company.

ECP chalet is no longer under costa sands management .. which is very unfortunate.

I had my birthday celebration over there yesterday.

For just one day, it costs $208/night.

The rest of the chalets are fully booked.. so.. i have no choice but to go with them.

When we checked in, we need to pay in full + a $50 deposit first.

I would like to highlight to everyone - they have alot of hidden agenda.

1) The chalet cannot have more then 6 person at any time, if not there will be a "party charge" of $20. The employees will go from one chalet to another to confirmed that there is no more than 6 person. ( CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHO HOLD CHALET HAVE LESS THAN 6?! )
This was not highlighted when we booked the chalet, and the lady says that it is in the fine prints. After which they insist that they were just being kind to walk around to collect the $20, if not the fine would be $50 for holding a "party without license"

2) They only provide 2 towels, and 3 wooden chairs. For every extra towel its an addition of $3 charge. For rental of extra chairs - $20 for 1 table and 4 chairs. for Mahjong table - $25 for 1 mahjong table and 4 chairs. They dun deliver to you. You pay, you collect on your own.

3) the rental of bbq pit has increase from $10 (previously costa sands charge only $10) to $18.

4) You cannot have more than 4 person sleeping over at the chalet. They have the rights to chase u away.

5) You cannot make too much noise after 1130pm. They have the rights to chase you away.

So ladies, please highlight all these to any of your friends who have the intention of holding it at ECP.

I had a very bad experience, and will never go there and hold my chalet anymore.

With that amount of money charged, i could have gone to a hotel for a night stay.

With that amount of money, i could hold 2 night stay over at downtown east and still be able to pay for half of my bbq food!

its ridiculous! =.="

真對不起NEWBIE了﹐ 他幫我想的"恒星晨光父母命"﹐ 我就是覺得怪怪的。我一直在重複念着﹐才發現: 好SONG(俗氣)啦!!! 可能每晚都電視世6-8pm都是台灣鄉劇﹐我覺得這個名字非常福建化。

open house @AMK Hub

this was taken at Learning Kidz, level 3 of AMK Hub, durin their open house. i enjoy so much, esp later, i went to the nex rm to kick balloon. i can kick as high as i like! not like at home, every1 say 'cannot kick high, will knock things over' :/

mummy oso took video of me kickin balloon, but the viewcam has limited memory cos din put memory card, its less den 1min :( i played til so tired, i automatic push stroller away. hehehe, mummy got a shock, quickly catch me back. realise i m tired n thirsty n hungry. so gave me water to drink while she put didi in the stroller.

as we walk out to find toilet, she realise i din bring my balloon out. so went back to get 1, n she ask the lady where the toilet is. when we reach there, we went into the handicapped cum baby change toilet.

aft tt, mummy use carrier to carry didi, while puttin her backpack bedhind me, sitting in the stroller. as she fumbles wif the carrier n didi. i dozed off.

(mummy went to the lift, wanted to go the restaurants at lower flr. who knows! the lift jam at 3rd flr. she watches the num goes 1 - 2 - 3. but the door din open! the ppl inside press alarm too. so she look arnd for operation num to call. she can't find any, so ask the contruction worker nearby, they oso din no. she called wai po, who is suppose to meet us 1/2hr ago, n as they r tokin, the security guard came. mummy went up to tell him the lift is jam. he ask her if inside has her frds, she say no, we jus wan to use the lift. the guard force open the door, n the 3 families in the lift finally came out. there's a little gal, she mus hv quite a scare. mummy dun dare to use the lift liao, cos she scare she will b only 1 inside n the lift door will jam again. so went back to the baby room, sat on the shelves n listen to her hp music. the bad part is the breastfeedin room is not finished, there's no chairs in the room, or else mummy will hv a comfy chair.)

abt 1hr later, i woke up, still drossy. but lucky, wai por finally here. n we went to hv food. i m so hungry!! we had wan ton mee n fried fishball. aft tt, wai po n wai gong brought me to NTUC Xtra to shop for grocery. mummy went 1 corner to feed didi milk in bottle. n den, the day ended, go home time.. :(
